Our apologies, this event has been cancelled due to Covid restrictions. We hope to see you next year.

Enjoy all you can eat æbleskiver and jam while volunteer musicians entertain you by jamming on stage. 

Watch demonstrations of æbleskiver cooking by our culinary team.

Garden of Fashion

July 23, 24, 25 & 26th, 11am, 1pm & 3pm

The Garden of Fashion will transform the Museum and grounds  to the roaring 1920’s, featuring a guided tour of the displays throughout the grounds at your booked time with Jesslyn MIller. You can enjoy your lunch at any time during the day and are encouraged to wander the displays before or after your interactive tour.

 

Your ticket will include the tour, lunch on the grounds featuring finger sandwiches, tea ( or other beverages)  and desserts, browse the quilt show, learn how 1920s flower arrangements were made,  try out a vintage sewing machine, and check out the vendors on site. We encourage you to dress up for the event and will have photo opportunities available.

$40 per ticket

$200 for groups of 6

Members receave a $5 discount per person.

Viking Feast

August 20 and 21, 2021

This is a memorable evening of eating through the ages with the Vikings in our event tent in the Viking Village on Friday and Saturday evening. Participants will enjoy an authentic Danish meal with seven courses of traditional Danish cuisine. Sample Viking mead--a traditional wine made from honey. Participants can tour the Viking village, experience Viking history, and watch a battle re-enactment.

Get your tickets early, this event always sells out.

If you ask nicely, a Viking might even join your table for dinner.

Hans Christian Andersen's Haunted Forest

Oct 21,  22,  23, and 24, 2021

Our children's walk of imaginantion transforms into a haunted forest for Halloween.  We offer snacks and drinks in our Cafe, as well as a fun family evening out in our forest!

Viking Days

August  20, 21, 22, 2021 

Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm  each day


This is our biggest event of the year, typically attracting over 700 visitors who are interested in Viking lore. Through the cooperation of Viking re-enactment groups from Calgary and Edmonton, visitors you can tour the Viking encampment which shows living accommodations, cooking methods, and crafts. You can also try some mead (a favourite of ancient Vikings) which is a type of wine made from honey.  Participants tour the Viking village, experience some Viking history, and see watch a battle re-enactment.

 

Remember to book your tickets for our Viking feast or breakfast. Tickets sell out quickly.
